Nigeria — Super Eagles Have Not Progressed According To FIFA Rankings

The Nigerian Super Eagles position according to FIFA international rankings released on Thursday on FIFA's website has not changed as the Nigerian team still remain 52nd globally.

However, Poland, who will face the Eagles in an international friendly on March 23, climbed one spot to 6th position, sharing the same position as Spain. Serbia also has a friendly match with Nigeria on March 27, remained in 34th position.

Argentina, Croatia and Iceland, competitors in the 2018 world Cup Group D, which Nigeria is also included, are ranked 4th, 15th and 18th respectively. Definitely, this world Cup is going to be really tough for Nigeria.

Talking about Africa, the Eagles maintain their position in Africa as they are at the 7th position at the continent.

While for the 2019 Africa Cup of nations qualifying Group F opponents which Nigeria is also grouped in, South Africa moved one spot to 76th, Libya stayed at 99th and Seychelles rose to 191st.
