Donald Trump Invites Buhari To Washington

President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to have a meeting with U.S president Donald Trump on the 30th of April.

Buhari to Visit Trump in White House

A statement from the White House says;
"President Trump looks forward to discussing ways to enhance our strategic partnership and advance our shared priorities: promoting economic growth and reforms, fighting terrorism and other threats to peace and security, and building on Nigeria's role as a democratic leader in the region.

"The relationship of the United States with Nigeria is deep and strong, and Nigeria's economic growth, security, and leadership in Africa will advance our mutual prosperity."

This information was revealed day after the fourth anniversary marking the kidnap for the 276 Chibok girls.

During the visit of Trumps ex- secretary of state, Rex Tillerson to Nigeria in March, he had promised to support Nigeria with equipments and intelligence to help in retrieving the remaining Chibok girls, and fight against Islamist extremism and oil millitants.

However Tillerson was sacked by Trump days later, and replaced by “Mike Pompeo.
