Protests, which took place in several States of the Federation, has been reproduced in the federal capital territory (FCT) with the celebration of the mass at the National ecumenical Center, Abuja, where worshipers wore tshirts with footprints of the two Catholic priests, Reverend father Joseph Gor and Felix Tyolaha, which have been brutally murdered and other 17 worshipers by shepherds at St. Ignatius Catholic Parish, Mbalom in Benue state last month.

The protest coincided with the mass burial conducted by the Catholic Church and Benue state government of the killed priests and parishioners in Saint-Maria pilgrimage Center, Ayati Ikpayongo in Benue state. it was the same as the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji sa'ad Abubakar II, warned Christian leaders in the country against unattended statements that could make terrorist win the war against Nigerian States.

Concerning the mass burial for the killed victims of the shepherds attack on the Catholic Parish, vice President Yemi Osinbajo assured Nigerians that the federal government has deployed all in its arsenal to stop the murders in Benue state and other parts of the country. The vice President, who sent the message of condolence of President Muhammadu Buhari, lamented that attacks on places of worship which began a few years ago, has become too many.
While condemning the murderers, the Vice-President said that the killers only killed the flesh but could never "touch mind that belongs to God". He said the killers won nothing other than causing pain in the family, friends and all of the country, curious to know what they had to gain causing pain or anxiety.

Osinbajo stated that the dead had disappeared, it is the government responsibility to provide relief and comfort for those who were left behind. "we can ensure justice for them by arresting and punishing the attackers.

We have to rebuild the many places that have been damaged and heal injuries that have been caused." we need to rebuild and reorganize our security system law enforcement to ensure that all that live and work in this Earth are safe, and more importantly, we need and stop these crazy killings. "Sometimes evil seems to win but as night brings the next day, this acts will rejected and good will triumph."
